SINGULARLY STYLISH
Audi Snyman Interior Design was briefed to curate a bespoke warm and luxurious interior for this contemporary bachelor pad. The spaces within this two-bedroom home were planned and designed to create a masculine, yet quintessentially African backdrop, characterized by stylish comfort and a sense of calm that is brought to life through subtle splashes of colour and artful, unusual touches.
The natural, neutral palette is layered with shades and textures of grey and oak that artfully set the tone for a functional and well-appointed kitchen. Here the homeowner’s taste for the superior is seamlessly integrated into stylish efficiency, luxurious fittings and fixtures and a warm ambiance that flows across the open plan areas.
The transition to the outdoors is seamless as modern, uncluttered sophistication layered with natural textures and materials cater for both physical and spiritual comfort. The calm ambience created within the interior spaces continues here and is punctuated by nature and remarkable South African artefacts and collectables.
The loose box, natural oak, bookcase is the star at the bottom of the stairwell that leads up to a neat study overlooked by beautifully framed works of art. In the upstairs spaces the secondary colour palette and the layering of greys, browns and metallics via different textiles and patterns are appealing to the eye and exude a warmth that ignites the desire to linger longer, amidst the understated luxury of the second bedroom.
The clean lines of the upstairs bathroom cabinetry and furniture are juxtaposed with some quirky wall accessories that offer a little light-hearted distraction.
The custom designed, functional and luxuriously simple dressing room is capacious and its uncluttered contemporary décor includes a chest of drawers and server concealing deep, wide storage spaces that flank a luxury ottoman.
The neutral palette and textured greys, olives and burnished golds continue into the main bedroom. Ceiling-height built-in cupboards with mirrors reflect furnishings that look deliciously soft to the touch and a variety of scatter cushions underline the champagne lifestyle of a bachelor at large. The attention to detail continues into the bathroom where sophisticated and stylish simplicity are adorned by an artfully curated wall feature bringing yet another touch of originality.
